My Bio
First off, this is all Tim Gallagher's artwork, however I am not Tim Gallagher. Tim is my dad and for Christmas (of 2012) I am going to give him this DeviantArt. So he doesn't know that I'm putting his work online and there could be some legal issues with that, but once I show this to him I will respect his wishes if he wants to take it down. But for the time being, the purpose of this account is to inspire him to become an artist once more. Hopefully he will see that people really like his art and he will pick up a camera again. I want to do this because he has inspired me to be an artist and I hate to see him lose his drive to make art. If you would like to see my work, here is my DeviantArt [link]

Another thing, since I am running this profile, any comments made that have an opinion are my, Kelia Gallagher's, opinion so do not think otherwise. Seeing as this profile is secret from my dad, he may not necessarily share my opinion on these things and he has no input about what I write here.

About his work: There are two different types of photos in the gallery, one is either a traditional black and white photo or a colored photo. These were taken by a film camera and developed by my father’s hand, most likely in a basement. The other kind are black and white silhouette photos. These are Camralis photos (a concept most people have not heard of) called photograms. These are all done in a dark room with the lights off. You lay light sensitive paper on the ground (or pin it to the wall) then lay or stand the subject on the paper, then flash a bright light to create the exposure. It exposes the paper turning it black and the shadow of the object turns white or gray depending on the transparency of the item. When the light has gone off you can develop the paper. (I know absolutely nothing about the development so if you are interested in that part you are on your own, but you still have Google)
I only know about this process because we had a dark room in our basement when I grew up in Illinois and my sister and I where the occasional subjects of the photograms. It required lying quite still or the shadow would be blurred.

P.S. I am dyslexic, so if there are any spelling mistakes I apologise and if you could comment on the wall telling me this and spelling it correctly, that would make it easier for me and for others to understand my blerb thing.

Happy birthday! (:
This is a beautiful idea. Your father is a talented photographer. I really hope that he will continue with his photography (My father was also interested in photography at one point in his life, but sadly stopped after some hard times in our lives).

You are a very kindhearted person for doing this for your father. I hope he gets back into photography, as it is such a rewarding passion to have.

I took a look through his photos and was amazed. I feel sad that he stopped, when his art is so beautiful. More people should see and appreciate his work.

By the way, if you like, I could correct the spelling errors in your information on this page and send the corrected copy to you as a note. =)

As well, if you would like more people to see his photography and leave comments, it may be a good idea to submit some of these photos into some groups to attract more people to this page. Then when he finally sees what you've made for him, he will have a bunch of comments from people who loved his work!~
Hey.
This is a lovely idea and I hope he really likes what you're doing for him. His photos are amazing and I especially love the portraits. My fav is Swing. I love the way the photo has been composed.
Best of luck with it all.
